Ruth Ann (Ruthie) joined the team in March 2025 as the Director of Student and Family Programming. She is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of programmatic experiences that build the whole child and nurture family engagement. Before joining Horizons at NCCS, Ruthie served as Director of Operations and High School Program at Horizons-Bridgeport, where she led program expansion, staff training, and family engagement initiatives. Ruthie also spent several years as a classroom teacher and team leader, fostering dynamic, inclusive learning environments that prioritized both academic excellence and social-emotional growth. Ruthie is a graduate of Sacred Heart University with a B.S. in Sociology and a Master of Arts in Teaching. With over 12 years of dedication to Horizons, Ruthie is a passionate advocate for students, families, and educational equity.
